- SELECTING YOUR CAREER
- INTRODUCTION
-
- At this point in Career Path, you should have already taken and
- reviewed the test survey. The next step is to narrow the survey's
- 20 to 40 career suggestions down to just one or two career choices.
-
- To optimize your time and results, it is suggested that you follow
- the submenu listing in the order presented.
-
- 1. Print needed forms to complete the Life Goals and Transferable
- Skills section.
-
- 2. Complete the Life Goal section.
-
- 3. Complete the Transferable Skills section if you are interested
- in optimizing your present skills.
-
- 4. The Automatic Career Evaluation section brings it all together.
- Each alternative career choice is scored based upon your own
- distinct interest, desire, education, and evaluation.
- A. Select two to five careers that have the highest score
- from the Career Evaluation section.
- B. These selected choices are further reviewed, researched,
- and evaluated until a single career is selected.
-
- The remaining sections; predominant career tendencies, are
- provided as supplemental information for your edification rather
- than as a primary tool in the career selection process.
-
- What careers will grow and questions to ask yourself before changing
- careers are included in the registered version.
-
- For the next step, print the forms from "Forms - Life Goals and
- Transferable skills Print-out" section of the submenu.
